I came across a blog entry that disgusts me. The author hates religion, and feels that it is his personal mission to break the faith of every Christian that he comes in contact with. His most recent entry was a post expressing his disdain for religion, and all those associated with it. Obviously he's got a few bees in his bonnet.

The man gets his kicks out of attempting to destroy other people's faith. The very qualities that he accuses the religious of are the ones that he is guilty of. His information and opinions have basis, however it is one that has come from twisting words and meanings of scripture, and thefore is flawed. I found this man's prejudice horrendous, and I am disgusted that such hate-filled people exist in this world.

I am all for treating everyone with respect, regardless of what they believe, how they live or act, or what relgion they are. To accept and not judge - isn't that what they try and teach us from a very young age?

He calles Christianity "primitive", and he associtates those who practice it with as ignorant children.

In my experience, children are the ones who judge others. They judge out of ignorence, basing their opinions mainly on outward appearances. This man calls himself a "beacon of truth". To claim to have everything figured out limits any potential character growth. Moreso, to try to force opinions on others, and to deem those who don't agree as ignorant is, in my opinion, childlike.

If everyone judged themselves on the same scale that they judged others, I think the world would be much more pleasent.
