Beauty and the Beast - the ultimate happy movie. It rivals Aladdin for my favourite movie of all time. I absolutely adore it.

After watching it tonight, I realized that there is no dishonesty in the movie (apart from the villain). And everyone assumes the best of everyone else. When the townspeople come to invade the castle, none of it's residents think that Belle betrayed them. When Gaston is yelling that "Belle is [his]!", the Beast doesn't stop and doubt himself or the feelings that he has shared with her.

Mom pointed out that this is the way that children are. And it just occurred to me that kids wouldn't have understood the movie if it had been anyway else.

I used to be that way. And in many ways I still am. But it only takes one friend betraying you to learn that not everyone is honest, and not everyone cares for each other more than they do themselves.

I think we should all take a lesson from Walt Disney.
