Go Go Power Rangers
I've recently discovered some old episodes of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. Sure, they say words like "morphinominal", and sure, the lips of Rita don't match with the words - but it's still good quality television watching. I think we can all use a little more Power Rangers in our lives.
Thanksgiving was a success. Normally we only have three to four people attending, but this year it was a step up to ten. Most noteably my cousin David John and his friend Sy (very cute) were there. It was odd to have actual family at our dinner. I got to say to someone "sorry, I've got to go and pick up my cousin" for the first time in my life.
I love family. And I love being the age where you get along with everyone.
The turkey was fantastic, as was (were?) the gravy and mashed potatoes. I'm not sure if the main course or dessert was better - we had our pick of cheese or cherry pie. And mom just finished a new batch of wine a few days ago, so we had South African and Italian to choose from.
No one cooks like my mom.
Vanessa also called me from The Who concert when they were playing Pinball Wizard. I would have loved to be there, but I can settle for singing along over the phone. Brilliant.
